Transport at the moment the hammer drops.

Auction buyers need the car moved, often from a lot hundreds of miles away and often on a deadline. Put a prefilled transport quote on the won-vehicle page and transport stops being a separate errand.

The auction transport problem

Buyers often have a short window to remove a vehicle before storage fees start, and many buy units they have never seen in person, some of which do not run. The fastest way to clear the lot is to make transport the next step of checkout. See the auction vehicle transport playbook for gate passes, release timing and lot details carriers need.

Prefill from the sale record

Pass the lot ZIP, the VIN and the vehicle type from your sale record. The buyer types only a delivery ZIP. Year, make, model and VIN carry into the booking, so the order the carrier receives matches the unit on the lot.

Inoperable units

Set data-vehicle-type to inoperable for units that do not run. Carriers need a winch or forklift for those, and an accurate quote up front avoids a price change at pickup. See inoperable vehicle.

Build it natively

Larger auctions often want transport inside their own buyer portal. The JSON quote API returns the same live price with a transit window and expiry, keyed to your account. Booking completes on a secure page, so payment and contact details stay out of your systems.

Questions

Can buyers book transport before payment clears?

Buyers can get a quote at any time. Booking is between the buyer and the fulfillment partner; pickup happens once the vehicle is released by the auction, so your release process stays in control.

Do you handle gate passes and release paperwork?

No. The auction issues the release, and the buyer or the fulfillment partner coordinates it with the assigned carrier. The playbook linked on this page covers what to share with the carrier.
